Editor’s Note

Hey—I’m Nic. I’m the one on the right, with the hair and the glasses. That’s my fiancée next to me. And yes, I’m absolutely marrying up—I already know.
This photo was taken just before we moved abroad. A farewell snapshot of a life we’d outgrown, right before stepping into the one we’d intentionally created.
I’ve reinvented myself more than once—personally and professionally. I’ve scaled startups, dissolved companies, and coached execs through the kind of change most people avoid. When the pressure hits, I don’t panic—I get strategic.
And every time? I’ve used the same framework.
I call it the Straight Line Method.
It’s how I trained for a Half Ironman when I could barely swim.
It’s how I turned burnout into clarity—and a paycheck.
It’s how I help people, teams, and companies move forward with purpose instead of panic.
✳️ The Straight Line Method
This is the core of everything you’ll find in The Fix—a five-step process that works whether you're stuck in a job, spinning out on a decision, or building something big from scratch.
- Accept – Own your reality. No sugarcoating.
- Choose – Pick a direction. Perfection can wait.
- Identify – Name the friction. Internal, external, or both.
- Prepare – Set yourself up. Logically, emotionally, practically.
- Execute – Make the move. Small steps. Real momentum.
🧭 What The Fix Is
This space is a mix of what I know, how I teach, and what’s helped people like you move forward.
It’s the advice executives pay for—but without the boardroom jargon.
It’s the method I use with clients—and with myself.
It’s a place to actually shift, not just think about it.
You’ll find real problems. Real steps. Real clarity.
This is strategy for your stuck moments.
So you can build the life you're meant to live—with direction and follow-through.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You just need your next step.
Let’s find it.
Cheers,
Nic
